Why Mini House?

We want to offer you the joy of creation, practical learning, and great freedom in your creative work.

Throughout the year, we design and build a Mini House on wheels. The house will be fitted out with simple solutions for the kitchen and toilet, as well as a living and sleeping area. The students’ ideas will determine the house’s design. Once completed, the house will be prepared for sale; marketing and organizing this process are also key parts of the learning experience. Perhaps the house will become yours?

A cozy little house to come home to

Here, you get hands-on experience with everything from carpentry, woodworking, and tool usage to welding, casting (in concrete, composites, and fiberglass), and basic electrical and plumbing work. You gain insight into the entire process—from initial sketches on paper to digital drawings and physical prototypes. We explore the design process, learn to use software for simple 3D models, and discover how a construction concept transforms into concrete solutions.

Throughout the year, the focus is on eco-friendly and smart methods, HSE, and sustainability. We consider cost-effective and resource-conscious choices, and we collaborate with the local community on small-scale projects.

Equally important as the subject is the community. You will become part of a team where everyone pitches in, learns from each-other and experience mastery together. Small and large projects prove both challenges and

good experiences – and you will discover how fun it is to create something together with others.

Here, you gain experiences, practical skills, and knowledge you can take with you—whether you want to become a skilled trades-person, designer, or engineer, or simply learn something useful for life.

School Project

Every year, we have a period of intensive cross-disciplinary work. This allows you to apply the skills and knowledge you have built up in a new context or delve deeper into a specific aspect of it.

Coillaberation with Game Art and Art+

Throughout the year, we will collaborate with other study tracks. This collaboration might involve, for example, working alongside the Art + Game Art track, woodworking, printing objects using the school’s 3D printers, digitally designing and planning furniture, or assisting with the creation of art pieces and functional objects. As this is a new track, there will be plenty of scope to test out great ideas.
