About the domitories

As a student at Sunnhordland Folk High School, you live in one of nine residential groups or houses on the campus. All the houses are situated in the central courtyard area and are arranged around the main building, Tunstova.

Facilities and dormitories

Each house has its own cozy living room with a kitchenette. Additionally, there is a laundry room with a washing machine in every house. The largest residence is Tunheimen, which can accommodate up to 24 people. The smaller houses are known as “haugahusa” or “buene” and house between 8 and 10 residents. Most rooms have a sink, but you share the shower and toilet with up to four others.

We have mostly single rooms (56 single and 18 double), as it can be nice to find some peace and quiet amidst a busy, social daily routine. We do our best to accommodate your room preference.
